You have to actually buy the chips thru paypal or your credit card.

Nope, you don't have to buy chips, it's totally free i'm in it now. You CAN buy chips if you lose them all and want to stay in, but it's pretty much impossible to lose them all.

I haven't even played yet and it shows me as 0 chips and it always disconnects when I try anything. Oh well I give up on this one.

That's strange, it works fine for me. You should get 1500 chips right off the bat, I'd try again.

If it wasn't a really good app with decent prizes I wouldn't be advocating it. Especially if you're into poker.
