Recycle Gum???
We are in the beginning stages of recycling chewed chewing gum and are trying to encourage everyone to help us acquire as much chewed chewing gum as possible. We encourage you to send your chewed gum to Cochran Consultants, LLC, Attn: Gum Raps, P.O. Box 771, Cypress, CA 90630. If you send us 100 pieces of chewed chewing gum we will send you a free T-shirt just to say thanks.
How to send chewed chewing gum:
First, read the interesting factoid on the reverse side of the Gum Raps sheet. Then, wrap your chewed chewing gum in the Gum Raps sheet and place it in small plastic re-closeable bag. Place that bag inside an envelope and mail it to Cochran Consultants, LLC, Attn: Gum Raps, P.O. Box 771, Cypress, CA 90630.
Based on the statistics above, you can see, the problem is not getting better; in fact, it is getting much worse. Lets all do our part in take an proactive approach in keeping the environment free from those nasty and disgusting gum wads!
We encourage you to chew responsibly!

Wow. That is just wrong. I don't think I will be buying recycled gum any time in the future. all the packaging and excess mail deliveries i'm sure are more detrimental to the environment than a wad of gum on the sidewalk...

I doubt they're making new gum with it, guys. LOL

I think they're properly disposing of it or making other uses of it.
Gum is a big problem pollution wise it's on sidewalks, desks & walls etc..

LOL I don't chew enough gum to get this free shirt, sadly.

Maybe this guy wants it!! :laughmonkey:

here it says with treatment it can be made biodegradable.

Quote:

The cost to mail in 100 pieces would be enough to buy a t-shirt you like yourself, or maybe even two or three t-shirts if there is a great sale.

DNA..... exactly what I thought when I read the title. It is probably like that Sweeney person who sold meat pies made of humans and everyone bought them and loved them. This "company" probably uses DNA from other people to commit mass crimes. Who wants to chew on used gum anyhow. SICK SICK SICK.

fudged What a waste

Right. They are recycling chewing gum. Yet, you have to use an envelope, AND a plastic resealable bag to send it in, PLUS the gum wrapper. AND they want them mailed individually. That's a lot of garbage for one silly piece of chewed gum.
