| Diva Beaver Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Ontario | Stop smoking program. I just started it today using the patch and also the inhaler if I feel the urge (which I have and the inhaler works great!!!) www.stopstudy.ca Welcome to the Stop Study! Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients We are currently enrolling current cigarette smokers who would like to quit smoking to participate in a community pharmacy-based treatment study using nicotine replacement therapy (i.e., nicotine gum, patch or inhaler). If you think you may be interested in this quit-smoking program, please take a moment to read more about the study and see whether you are eligible to participate. How do I sign up? 1. Check the participating pharmacies list to make sure there's a pharmacy in your area. If there is no participating pharmacy currently in your area, you may email us at stop_study@camh.net and receive your nicotine replacement therapy and stop smoking resources in the mail. 2. Fill out a brief questionnaire to see if you are eligible. 3. If you are eligible, you will receive a confirmation email with a unique voucher number. 4. Please contact the participating pharmacy in your area to book an appointment to receive your free NRT. 5. Present your voucher number to the pharmacist at the time of your first visit. | Diva Beaver Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Ontario | I think everyone qualifies, they started out with one stop program where you called an 800 number then that study filled up and they began this one, they randomize this study, example-my husband got the entire 4 weeks worth and the inhaler all in one visit, now I have to go in weekly for my next weeks supply and I purchased the inhaler myself for those just in case cravings (soo glad I did) but the pharmasist said that they usually dont give the inhaler until the end of the 4 weeks just for any craving you may have so he said to save my recipt and he will reimburse me after the 4 weeks...basically they want to see who does better and quits the people who get it all and go or the ones who have the support of seeing the pharmasist weekly. |
