We just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.
God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?” ~William A. Ward
Hopefully today is filled with happiness, family, love, and caring. For those of you that have a big turkey meal today, enjoy it to the fullest. For those of you that don’t have that turkey, why not treat yourself to a great eat-out meal.
We tend to focus on what we “don’t have” instead of what we do have. I’m sure if you take just a minute to look around at what you do have you will be pleasantly surprised. Look at your family, friends, neighbours, home, breath in your lungs each and every morning, the fresh morning dew on the grass, the sunrise and sunset, birds chirping happily, the sounds of the ocean waves, nature, a safe place to sleep, the list can go on and on.
I am thankful for being a Canadian. It’s one of the most wonderful places to live. We have so much while other places today are suffering from hunger, wars, and unbearable circumstances. Can you imagine waking up to gunfire this morning? Or looking at your hungry child crying because he is suffering from hunger and you have NOTHING…absolutely nothing to give him? What if you lived in fear that at any moment someone would come bursting through your door to hurt you and your family? Now do you feel like you have a little more to be thankful for? I know I do.
Stand up, on this Thanksgiving Day, stand upon your feet. Believe in man. Soberly and with clear eyes, believe in your own time and place. There is not, and there never has been a better time, or a better place to live in. ~Phillips Brooks.
I am thankful for my three beautiful daughters, my loving husband, my home, my pets, my business, my family and friends, and all of our wonderful readers.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL. I HOPE TODAY IS FILLED WITH BLESSINGS AND THANKS. TAKE A MOMENT TO PONDER WHAT IS SPECIAL IN YOUR LIFE.
May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!
