Follow the Coupon Merchandiser Reps and steal the whole tear pads.
Yes People do this. They figure out the schedules, and begin stalking them. You’ll then become the Crazy Extreme Coupon Lady. As this behavior is extreme. You will be named “Stalker” and not in a pleasant way. At the end : The Store Manager and usually all the staff will know about this incident and you’ve then been marked.
Rip off Peelies/hangtags on other products
Don’t rip off peelies you see on products you have not bought. If caught this can be considered creating damaged goods. Everyone has seen this done a time or two. I simply don’t understand it myself, as I would never even consider doing this, but I’ve heard several stories from cashiers and other couponers.
You are NOT invisible. If you constantly do this, You will be spotted at some point, and you will then earn a reputation of a thief, and you will find yourself closely watched as you enter the store.
Steal Inserts out of Newspapers you have not purchased in side store: Yes the majority of people do not coupon, and may never use that insert, but it’s really wrong to steal inserts out of the newspaper because you think you need them. It’s one thing to find them in the recycle bins, or you find yesterday’s paper with them still in it. But If the insert is in “Todays” paper, and your taking all the inserts out of all the papers this is simply wrong. It’s one thing to take it out of MacDonald’s where you have coffee in the morning. But if your standing at a newspaper display taking out all the inserts of Today’s paper so no body else can grab them, this is simply wrong.
Stealing Coupon Binders: I’ve heard of people getting them stolen twice now ( right out of the carts) …….. This is just plain theft. So if you have a coupon binder, make sure you don’t take your eyes off it. One story I heard about was she was putting her kids in their car seats in the parking lot, when her binder was taken. And the other story I heard was she was inside the store, and she turned her back to grab something on the lowest shelf, and her binder disappeared.
Rudeness: This is the easiest way to be an Extreme Couponer, that no one wants at their till. You may be right in your arguments, but there’s never an excuse for being Rude. You can always state your facts with a smile, and be diplomatic in your arguments. Understand that the cashier is simply doing their job to the best of their abilities, and making mistakes on their end can lose them a job

i keep my coupons in a coupon box that i set in the cart i was at meijers doing some shopping and i walked away from my cart to get an item and when i turned around a woman was rummaging thru my coupon box boy was i surprised and i told her to get lost but i am not surprised when they steal the big binders just look at the cost of merchandise lately and i think thats why there is more stealing..also when you put your purse in the cart take the child safety belt and put it atound the handle of your purse this will keep your purse from being stolen..i do this all the time.

Maybe there can be a separate section for that? A whole section of the site devoted to people sharing their photos and all that stuff and have a different feed so not everyone has to see it all and so everyone doesn’t have to get it in their news feeds. A couple people have talked about how annoying it is when we get the photos of one persons shopping all the time. Its nothing against them. Just some constructive ideas so you can please everyone who uses the site.

Angela, I actually Love to see what other couponers have purchased, especially if they post it early into the week of sales as often someone will find a great deal not in the flyers or will stock up on an item I might have overlooked!

Another great tip is to not brag about all your purchases and take photos and post them, and meticulously count your stock and post that. I don’t really care about what other people have. Share the knowledge, but don’t be cocky and show off everything you have. Its very annoying.

I always pick take out the coupons I will be using and leave my binder at home. I will bring coupons close to expiry as well to either coupon fairy or in case the item is on sale if its something I need. I would probably commit murder if my binder was stolen!

There are always people who ruin a good thing with their ignorance . Then it makes the regular couponers look bad. I get the looks too and the smiles. :)
I’ll be keeping my eye on my coupon binder. Thanks for the heads up.

people steal the books right out of peoples’ carts? wow.
they may as well steal your purse at the same time… that’s disgusting.
I pull out my ‘coupon organizer’ and people look at me a bit weird, but I don’t care…I’m the one who’s laughing when I pay less for the same things they buy too…
