How to coupon when visiting in the USA: Where to Find Coupons?

Since a good chunk of Canadians lives within 4 hours of the USA border, I thought it would be a good idea to try and give you some tips you could use while you attempt to coupon there. Couponing in the USA is a bit different than couponing in Canada; some questions you may ask are:

Where do I obtain my coupons? And how do I go about doing this?

In the states, they don’t have services like Websaver.ca, and Save.ca, which allow you to order your coupons, so there is no need to worry about those kinds, but they have several more print choices of coupons; below is a list of the most popular.

PRINTABLE USA COUPON SITES

COUPON INSERTS

Coupon Inserts come out in the Sunday morning newspapers in the United States. Or, if you want, you can try one of their coupon clipper services, such as The Coupon Clipper.

STORE FLYERS, TEAR PADS AND BILLBOARDS

There are many stores in the USA that have bulletin boards in the front of their stores. Check out their flyers, as there may also be many clippable coupons.  Tear pads are also placed around the store and are similar to those found in Canada. Just look on the shelves.

Listed below are some blogs I found in the USA from cities close to the border,  so perhaps before heading out, you can look at some of their coupon/flyer matchups and see what printables you can get hold of.

 What about Coupon Stacking?

In the USA, like in Canada, you can get coupon stacks at some stores (check their coupon policies), but you need to find a manufacturer’s coupon and a store coupon to stack.  Walmart USA and Walmart Canada have the same coupon policies (No stacking but overage allowed)
