Made From Earth Review & Giveaway (U.S.A / Canada) 08/06

Most people are very conscious of what they are eating these days. They are on a continuous hunt for healthier, organic foods in an effort to eliminate un-necessary chemicals in their diet. But what about going organic with other products? You are not just what you eat. You are also a product of what you put on your skin. That is right. A lot of the products on today’s market can actually be absorbed into your body.

Have you ever considered what chemicals might be in your skin care products. Potentially harmful ingredients such as Parabens, Phthalates, Petrochemicals and Cosmetic Fragrances.  I was shocked to read about these chemicals and how they can effect us.

This is why a company called Made From Earth sparked an interest with me. I contacted them and expressed my interest in finding out more. Made From Earth is a company that specializes in creating organic, holistic and chemical free skin care products. They openly and proudly list all the ingredients found in their products right on the label as well as on their website. I also like that they have an explanation as to why they use certain ingredients and their specific benefits to your skin. This is very helpful, since most of us are not beauty experts.

Made From Earth is just that. Natural, healthy and high quality products that are eco-friendly too. Remember not all organic products are treated equal. Some products contain organic ingredients but then add chemicals as a preservative. I found this to be a very interesting fact that I discovered while exploring the Made From Earth website. This really got my attention!

It is time to open my eyes and see what I am actually putting on my skin every single day. Scary.

Made From Earth offers a nice selection of products. They have face treatments, body care, hair and bath products as well as lip balms. This week I was actually given the opportunity to try out a couple lip balms from Made From Earth.  I of course chose the Vanilla Organic Lip Balm. (I just adore anything with a vanilla scent.)

 Ingredients:
Organic Sunflower Oil

Organic Beeswax

Organic Jojoba Oil

Organic Vanilla Essential Oil

Vitamin E

                                                         Rosemary Extract

                                                         Organic Calendula

As you can see, like all their other products the lip balms are completely chemical-free. Now that I know more about the Made From Earth company and type of products they carry it is time to try it out. I have been using the Vanilla Organic Lip Balm for just two days now and I already feel a difference in my lips.  They are smoother, softer and just more moisturized in general. I like that the lip balm goes on smooth and is not too thick. I have used some other balms in the past that are just too heavy and thick feeling. I also love that it is not sticky at all. There is nothing worse than having the feeling that your lips are sticking together. The best part of all is the scent. It smells amazing. So good you almost want to eat it. I don’t suggest doing that -although it probably wouldn’t do you any harm. Another nice thing is you can use it as often as you wish. Just apply as needed. If the Made From Earth lip balms are fair example of their quality products well………..they have found a new fan! (ME)

The second lip balm I received was the Citrus Fresh, however upon it’s arrival, my daughter quickly scooped it up.

I can’t blame her. It smells amazing.

Oh my goodness does this lip balm smell absolutely amazing!  I love the mix of scents creating a beautiful citrus scent. I also love how this product is organic. I don’t like wearing tons of make-up but lip balm is one thing I will wear but don’t like having a thick feeling on my lips. This lip balm didn’t feel heavy or gluey at all. It  feels as nice on my lips as the scent does to my senses. Everyone deserves to give their body a little treat and have at least one of these lip balms.
