There was a recipe going around Pinterest for a Hootenanny. I can not find the original poster to give credit to. So if you know the origin…. please let me know.
The Hootenanny (or oven pancake) is the easiest, showiest breakfast to make.
Easiest breakfast in the world — HOOTENANNY (Or Oven Pancake)
Blend up 1 c. white flour, 1 c. milk, 6 eggs (yep 6 eggs!!), and 1/4 tsp. salt.
Pour batter into greased 9×13 pan.
Then, pour 1/2 cube melted butter (I do barely 1/4 Cup) over the top (do not mix).
Bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees.
Cut in pieces, drizzle with Maple Syrup, serve.
It really IS that easy. Perfect for Christmas breakfast. Always requested by my two daughters on the weekend.
Enjoy!

Don’t know if this is the one you saw on Pinterest, but this is in there and it is called “Hootenanny Pancakes”: http://www.imalazymom.com/2010/10/hootenanny-pancakes-lazy-mom-recipe.html — it’s also called other names; Dutch Baby is the one I hear most often, but there’s also German Pancakes, Puff Pancakes, and more… (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_baby_pancake) I’ve had it in a restaurant before, but it’s been on my “want to try to make at home” list for a while. Yours reinforced the idea. :-)
