Review: Boutique Cascades Childrens Cardboard Playhouse

When I was told that my kids and I were chosen to do a review of a Boutique Cascades Childrens Cardboard Playhouse I was so excited!  My daughters are always building things with our recyclables.   I did a little research on their website waiting for delivery.

I was torn on wether to tell the girls it was coming.  I decided not to tell them.  That way I could avoid the inevitable “Is it coming today” every 5 minutes for who knows how long until it arrived.  Well, I did not have to worry because the UPS guy dropped it off two days after it was ordered.  Gotta love that.  My UPS guy was camera shy so I did not get him in the picture.

We wasted NO time setting this house up.  We were sent the Children’s Cardboard Playhouse.  There was a lot of excitement when they figured out what it was. Even though I had a hyped up 5 an 9-year-old helping me put it together it only took 15 minutes from beginning to end. Yes, I did time it. :)

Assembly really was as easy as the instructions show. The girls were so excited to help. They were able to help put it together. There was designing going on during assembly as well. They each designated themselves a side of the house to decorate. They were able to color and draw to their heart’s content. Since it was a beautiful day outside that is where we set it up. I would not recommend you leave it outside as it is cardboard. We have since moved it into our bonus room.

Please excuse the pile of lumber in the photo. Hubby was busy building a new swing set. Guess where the kiddos spent most of their day? In the cardboard playhouse. :D

The playhouse is in its forever home in our bonus room now. The girls play with it almost every day. We have had it for almost a month and they have not lost interest in it. The art work has expanded to almost cover the whole house now. They add art to it a little at a time.

The website recommends the playhouse for 3 years old and over.  My 5 and 9-year-old both fit in the house comfortably together. 

If you are on the fence about ordering a playhouse, I say do it!  The price point is fantastic.  The amount of quality play time is surprising.  But as parents we already know the kids love playing with the box more than the toy, right? ;)
