The Latest Consumer Product Safety Warnings & Advisories From Health Canada
The most disturbing advisory from Health Canada this week is the one about Miniature Detergent Packs and poisoning in children. Some examples would be the new Tide Pods.
Kids tend to mistake these brightly coloured, little plastic packs as candy and eat them.
Laundry detergents are powerful cleaning products that may contain ingredients which can lead to harmful health effects upon ingestion. Children who swallow the detergent packs may experience a variety of serious symptoms including severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or breathing difficulty.
Some other newly added warnings include laser pointers and Kleenex Brand Hand Sanitizers.
