Children’s Advil Canada Product Recall

Health Canada wants Canadian Parent to know that Pfizer Consumer Healthcare has initiated a voluntary recall of 126 lots of Advil liquid products for infants and children due to the risk of inconsistencies in dosing of these products

There has been “Clumps” of Ibuprofen that may be formed in the bottle which can lead to higher or lower doses of the drug that are given to infants and children if not shaken well before using

Lower does may not be adequate for working what you as a parent have intended but although unlikely a higher dose of this drug may now lead to vomit, decreased breathing rates etc.

Be Sure to always “SHAKE WELL” before use to avoid any potential severe consequences.

As a precaution consumers should stop using this product and return it to your local pharmacy.

If you have any concerns – talk to your local health care practitioner.

Includes the Following Children’s /Infants Pain Relievers:

  • Advil Pediatric Drops
  • Children’s Advil Fever from Colds or Flu
