Canadian Tire Recalls Master Chef BBQ Igniter Lighters

Health Canada did a sampling and evaluation program and here is what they found

  • may exceed the allowable flame height during ignition;
  • may exhibit an abnormal, sudden increase in flame height; and
  • may continue to burn after the trigger mechanism has been released.

There have been no reports of injuries however these findings are not good.

Approximately 52,596 pieces of the recalled lighters were sold in Canada.

The recalled lighters were sold from May 2016 to June 2018.

Canadian Tire Recalls Christmas Lights December 2015

These indoor and outdoor lights may pose a Fire and Shock hazard!!!

This recall involves various Holiday Collection Christmas Lights. The Canadian Tire SKU number can be found on the box or  CSA file numbers 224823 which can usually be found on the manufacturer’s product identification label, which is a tag affixed to the wire of the light string.

The recalled products were sold from August 2015 through December 2015.

Consumers should return them to their local Canadian Tire store for a refund.

UPDATE; Canadian Tire Recall Expanded

This just in.

The previous Canadian Tire product recall that was issued on July 18th, 2014 as been EXPANDED!!

  • This voluntary recall involves all units of the Cuisinart® electric smoker identified by product number 85-1153. All batch codes are affected.

Latest recall from Canadian Tire Stores!

Product Name – Cuisinart Electric Smoker

The affected products were sold between December 2013 and May 2014.

Reason For Recall – The door of the smoker can open while in use. To date, there have been five instances of this happening. No injuries were reported however.

This recall is for precautionary reasons because of specific parts of the smoker.

Product Number – 85-1153

There have been over 2500 of these products sold at Canadian Tire Stores across Canada.

What To Do If You Or Someone You Know as purchased the Cuisinart Electric Smoker

If you have purchased this product or know someone who as, be sure to stop using it immediately.

Bring it back to your local Canadian Tire location for a full refund.
