Update February 05th, 2019
RCMP says sorry for the wrong warning.
This is from CBC News;
“only gum package tested positive for narcotics, not gum itself.”
Hubba Bubba Public Advisory (February 04, 2019)
Police are warning of Fentanyl laced bubble gum found in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland
They believe that this fentanyl-laced bubble gum was brought in from out of province, so other provinces should be on the lookout as well!! Please be diligent with Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape!!
Do not consume!!
Here is what it reads via NTV News;
“Police seized several items near the victim, including what appeared to be bubble gum. Preliminary tests on the gum found positive indicators for narcotics, including fentanyl, an extremely potent drug that can be deadly in even minute amounts.
The source of the bubble gum remains under investigation. Police believe it was brought in from out of province. The RCMP is asking people to be vigilant and mindful in the event other such substances are in our community.”
Lets spread the word with everyone you know.
They do not have any suspicions that this product was laced at the factory or that Hubba Bubba products that are purchased in-store are effected.
