IKEA Canada recalls Pet Water Dispenser over pets suffocation hazards.
There have been two reports of dogs whose heads became stuck in the dispenser and eventually suffocated.

Ikea Recalls Candy Marshmallows
Released InformationT from the The Canadian Food Inspection Agency Tuesday, February 27, 2018 citing possible contamination from mice infestation
CFIA is warning consumers not to eat the product because it may contain harmful bacteria.
This recall includes all 100-gram bags of the marshmallow candies sold in 2018 are included in the recall notice.
All best before dates starting 23 October 2018 until 26 January 2019 are possibly infected
The product has been sold in Ikea stores in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, and Alberta.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product at this time.
Ikea Canada recalls Chest Of Drawers November 2016 (Re-Announcement)
Attention customers of Ikea; this is a re-announcement of a previous recall at Ikea.
They are advising customers who have purchased any Chest Of Drawers to be aware of the dangers of this product tipping over.

Latest Ikea Canada Product Recall – Electrical Shock Hazard.
Attention all shoppers at Ikea. This company as just issued a very important safety recall that you should be aware of.
Product Being Recalled – PATRULL nightlights with sensor.
Reason For Recall – Electrical Shock Hazard.
This nightlight comes in orange, white, and pink. Article numbers 302.411.40, 502.390.23, and 702.411.38.
Number sold in Canada and the United States – About 83,000 of the PATRULL nightlight were sold in Canada and approximately 359,000 were distributed in the United States.
Injuries Reported include one child in Austria.
- This child tried to remove the nightlight from the electrical outlet, when the colored cover came off the product. The wires were exposed and the child received an electric shock, plus minor wounds to his hand!!
- No reports of injury in Canada

Reason For Recall –
Gate could fall posing a safety hazard for your child. The lower middle bar can also be a tripping hazard.
The friction between the wall and the pressure-mounted safety gate is insufficient to hold the gate in its intended position, posing a fall hazard. The safety gate is not intended to be used at the top of stairs. In addition, the lower metal bar can be a tripping hazard.
IKEA has received 18 incidents worldwide, including 4 in Canada, with serious injuries reported for Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
There have been about 17,035 of the recalled safety gates from Ikea sold across Canada

SULTAN crib mattresses
Reason For Recall –
There have been about 44,373 of these recalled mattresses sold throughout Canada. Recalled products include mattresses that have been sold between 2007 and 2010.
Here is what it reads on Healthy Canadian’s Website
IKEA SULTAN crib mattresses are designed to be used with IKEA cribs to ensure a snug fit and safe sleeping environment for your baby. In some cases, a gap between the mattress and the side or end of the crib that is greater than 3 cm can occur, posing an entrapment hazard for an infant.
If you or someone you know as purchased this recalled product, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY!!
What you should do
Consumers should check the gap between the IKEA SULTAN crib mattress and the side and end of the crib. If the gap is greater than 3 cm, consumers should immediately stop using the affected product and return it to any IKEA store for an exchange or a full refund.
How to measure:
- Let new mattresses air for 72 hours after unpacking. It takes 3-4 days for the mattress to assume its proper shape and volume,
- Remove all bedding, for example fitted sheets,
- Push the mattress into one of the corners of the crib and measure the gap between the mattress and the crib’s side and end using a measuring tape. Any gap should be less than 3 cm.

The pine wood KRITTER beds have animal cut-outs, such as a dog or cat on the headboard and a date stamp of 1114 to 1322 representing the year and week of production (YYWW). The SNIGLAR natural beech wood beds have white painted fiberboard on the headboard and footboard of the bed and a date stamp of 1114 to 1318. This recall expands the date code for SNIGLAR beds to 1049 to 1318.
