Shoppers Drug Mart Recalls Digital Temple Thermometers
Product being recalled – The Digital Temple Thermometer is a hand-held thermometer and can be identified by the Life Brand logo on the face. The back of the thermometer packaging has 057800711568 in the barcode.
The device that is being recalled was sold at Shoppers Drug Marts across Canada and online.
Reason for recall – inaccurate body temperature reading
“An inaccurate body temperature reading may potentially cause the user or caregiver of the user not to use medication to reduce fever or seek immediate medical help. As a result, consumers who have this Digital Temple Thermometer should immediately stop using the device and return it to Shoppers Drug Mart for a replacement.”
If you or someone you know has purchased the recalled thermometers at Shoppers Drug Mart, DO NOT USE. Return to it your nearest Shoppers location and they will give you a replacement.

Seasonal/Holiday lights being recalled by Shoppers Drug Mart.
Reason for recall – fire hazard!! The indoor and outdoor lights do not meet CSA standards, therefore they pose a fire risk.
If you purchased Christmas lights at your local Shoppers Drug Mart anytime in the last two months, you just might have one of the recalled products.
If you are a resident of Quebec, these products were sold at Pharmaprix

What to do if you have purchased any of the affected products;
Stop using them immediately. Bring back to your local store for a full refund. No receipt is needed.

Reason For Recall
The netting, cover, and black plastic toy can become detached. In turn can pose a chocking hazard because of the small pieces involved.
There is also a chance that this ball could burst causing ingestion of the liquid inside the product. This is very dangerous.
There have been no reports of illness or injury as of yet.
The number of products sold is not known exactly but they say that about 1154 of the recalled toys were sold at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores across Canada.
