Our Best Amazon Prime TV Series to Watch in Canada Today
1. The Man in the High Castle
If you could turn back time and have an alternate timeline. It is about what the world be like under the Reich. Hitler vs Japan, and a neutral zone. It’s a great drama show and a great show you can watch as a couple as it has lots of war scenes and a bit of romance with lots of character building involved. I enjoyed this series and can’t wait for the next season!
Cast Actors: Alexa Davalos, DJ Qualls, Joel de la Fuente
2. American Gods
If you love fantasy type tv – you will love this show. An ex-convict is released early because of his wife’s death, he meets a mystical man, Mr. Wednesday, where he learns about gods, the undead and leprechaun and much more. Its a crazy fantasy world with tons of humour and drama. It’s a great “Man’s show.”

3. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
This series is so cute and funny. Back in the late 1950s in New York City, and she discovers she has the skill for a stand up comic. She is living a double life, and the drama unfolds. It has great characters and is simply a great show to hooked into, and binge watches a few episodes at a time. This series has won a few awards.

4. Jack Ryan
Jack Ryan, or only Jack Ryan, is based on characters from the fictional “Ryanverse” created by Tom Clancy, In the first season, Jack Ryan is a CIA analyst pulled from the security detail at a desk job into the field looking for a terrorist. It was a high 1st season and a great show to watch as a couple – its not too girly and girly enough to get the ladies hooked into another episode.
Cast Actors: John Krasinski, Abbie Cornish, Wendell Pierce
5. The Widow
This tv series follows a lady widow whose husband’s name Will died in a plane crash on a trip to Africa. Then three years later, she believes she saw a man resembling her husband on television. She then travels to Africa to try and figure out why her husband faked his death.

The show is about a lady named Heidi, who had been a social worker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a live-in facility ( which helped soldiers transition to civilian life) though why they needed this help is unclear. 7. The Romanoffs
I’ll warn you this series isn’t for everyone. It’s very different. Each episode is an entirely different story – so no two adventures will have the same actors. Each episode is about people who think they are decedents of the famous Russian family of the Romanoffs.
8. Z – The Beginning of Everything

This series is about a 40-year-old woman that fakes being the age of 26, after her divorce, It’s cute, it’s funny and is all about friendships and a bit of ageism. It’s a chick tv series, but hey, I enjoyed it!
The Cast: Sutton Foster as Liza Miller, Miriam Shore as Diana Trout, and Hilary Duff as Kelsey Peters
NOT Family Friendly and is 18+ kind of show. There is a lot of swearing and sexual scenes in this tv series.
It has a strange narrative – Its first person and she freezes time to give you information on what she is thinking, but the background and action are still happening. I have never seen this kind of Narrative before – it’s different.
The show is about a lady that is having a terrible run of luck, suffers from depression and anxiety, and is fighting through her disaster of bad relationships, money problems and more.
