    History of Sunrise Soya

    Sunrise Soya began when Leslie and Susan came to Canada, where they recognized a demand for TofuTofu in Vancouver’s Chinese community. In 1956 they began making fresh TofuTofu in the back of their store and selling it to Japantown. The need for fresh TofuTofu began to grow throughout the ’70s.

    They got a factory space in the early 1980s and began packaging TofuTofu to supermarkets across Western Canada.

    The Factory grew again in the 1990s and soon became Canada’s manufacturer of TofuTofu. Then they added a new facility in Ontario to keep up with the demand in the early 2000s.

    All Tofu is fresh, trans-fat-free, GMO-free, and all-natural.
