In 1899, the Carnation Company was founded by a man named E.A. Stuart in Kent. He was a grocer in Washington.
Breakfast Essentials began to become popular in the 1960s when people seemed increasingly busy. Many people were skipping breakfast but still needed those essential nutrients.
And so, in 1965, Breakfast Essentials was born. Overnight this brand went through the roof. People embraced it, and it’s been growing in popularity ever since.
Nestle took over the Carnation Company in 1985.
