Latest News from Hudson’s Bay

Consumers are furious with Hudson’s Bay after it recently cancelled some online orders.

These orders were purchased at a very deep discount because of coupon and promotional codes.

Well, that’s what a coupon code is for right? To save us consumers money?

Not as far as Hudson Bay is concerned. They decided to cancel these orders, infuriating customers across the country.

Sources at CTV News contacted Hudson’s Bay and they were told that these promotional discount codes were only to be used by Loyalty Card Holders(those that spend the most).

Some cardholders began to share the codes, allowing other nonmembers to use these savings as well.

I guess it just got a little out of hand and Hudson’s Bay had to do something. So, they decided NOT to honour the savings codes.

Mmmm….not sure if this was such a good thing to do. I guess they have to look at their losses versus customer loss over a period of time. I’m not sure what is worse.

They say that their pricing policy states that only one promotional savings code can be applied to a single purchase at one time. I guess the rules are the rules in this case.

Where You An Affected Customer This Weekend?

If you were one of the people affected by this faux pas this weekend, do not fret, for Hudson’s Bay is giving all customers whose online orders have cancelled a chance to use the original discount code that was given to their Loyalty Members.

Hudson’s Bay Skinny Shirt

This company pulled a Kate Moss branded t-shirt that reads “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”

Many consumers were up in arms because of the fact that they said it promoted eating disorders.

Way to Go Hudson’s Bay.

There is enough pressure in the media today that our kids do not need to see this. Kudos for pulling this.

There was such a social media backlash that this shirt was almost immediately pulled from store shelves. Power in numbers!!
