    About Veseys Seeds

    The Founder – Arthur Vesey – Grew up in a market garden in a small town in PEI. He was instantly interested in finding suitable seeds for the cold, short growing seasons of Atlantic Canada.

    He began by ordering for himself and then for his friends and family, which soon led to owning a small retail business in 1948. Growth kept demanding expansions

    Veseys continues to be involved in the commercial side of agriculture, not only on Prince Edward Island but throughout Canada.

    In 1999, Veseys Seeds celebrated its 60th anniversary.

    In 2003, armed with what the company had learned from entering the bulb business, Veseys determined that following a successful two-year test with roses and shrubs in its seed catalogue, it was time to launch Canada’s most complete stand-alone catalogue of roses and flowering shrubs.
