Do you wear Contacts?
I don’t – I don’t even wear glasses, nor my husband – yet both of my kids wear contacts and glasses. So strange how genetics work.
When wearing contact lenses, you must watch to ensure they are clean and never dry out.
Acuvue History
Acuvue lenses got their start from Frontier Contact Lens Company in the 1950s
Acuvue is a Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. division, part of the more significant Johnson & Johnson healthcare organization. In 1987, Johnson & Johnson launched the first ever disposable soft contact lens, called Acuvue. This was revolutionary at the time, as previous contacts were made out of hard plastic and needed to be replaced every few months. The new soft lenses changed all that, allowing people to replace their lenses every two weeks instead.
Over the next decade or so, Acuvue continued to grow in popularity. In 1997 they released the world’s first daily disposable soft contact lens. This innovation allowed users to throw away their lenses after each wear, eliminating the need for cleaning and storing them overnight or between uses. By 1998, over 20 million people had tried on an Acuvue lens! Sales continuing to skyrocket, Johnson & Johnson opened its production plant for contact lenses in Limerick, Ireland. This facility still produces millions of pairs of Acuvue and other brand contacts yearly.
Since then, Acuvue has released several more innovative products, including colour-changing contacts designed to help wearers find frames that suit them best, comfortable moisture-retaining contacts, and even contacts with built-in UV protection! They’ve also developed technology to allow doctors to measure corneal curvature without requiring drops or dilation—making it easier for patients with sensitive eyes or vision impairments to get fitted with their perfect pair quickly and easily.

Why can’t the eye doctor give out free samples of every brand of contacts instead of just carrying one brand? 🙁
my daughter who wears contacts would love to try them.
I would love to give a free pair to my daughter to try.
