Company History
Black River Cheese was established in the early 1900s as an original cheese house in Picton, Ontario. Not much has changed, but Gay Lea did purchase the cheese company in 2016. As our name suggests, Black River Cheese was first established along the picturesque Black River banks, on the outskirts of Picton, in Ontario’s historic Prince Edward County.
