The Michelin Brand

This company was founded back in 1889 and has been a trusted name for many Canadian families over the years. They have a proven track record, and they know tires.

Canadian Winters tend to be harsh and let’s just say that the driving conditions on many days are less than favourable.

Do favourable to trust your family’s safety to just anybody? Of course not. You have to trust a brand that knows what it is doing, knows the ins and outs of the tire industry, has been around the block.

Michelin has been tried and tested throughout the years, over and over again, and have gotten the same results. People are pleased with their products and, more importantly, trust them to stand up to the elements. High-quality, you can’t just get anywhere, in my opinion.

Michelin Man

This jolly character was introduced back in 1894 and has been a popular icon at this company ever since. I can remember seeing his jolly grin as a child. There was just something about the Michelin Man that looked friendly and trustworthy.

He came to be when this company was holding an exhibition. Someone placed two columns of tires(piled on top of each other), and someone made a simple statement…”Give it some arms and legs, and it would look like a man.” Well, at that moment, the Michelin Man idea was born. It is so funny how something so popular and iconic can come from a simple generalized statement.
