In 1976 the first The Body Shop opened in England

In 1985 they became a public company. In 1982 they were opening 2 stores per month.

Also in 1985 The Body Shop sponsored posters for Green Peace, and in 1986 it created an Environmental projects depart of it’s own ” Save the Wale”.

Product Footsie Roller produced in 1986 was supplied by Southern India.

By 1990 There were already in the USa, and was in high demand. They were already trading in 39 countries all within 14 years of opening their first store.  Also In 1990 The Body Shop Foundation was established – a charity which funded environmental protection groups and human rights.
