The funny thing is, the idea of the Clif Bar was born on a bike. The man who invented this product named the bar after his father, Clifford.

He was on a 175-mile bike ride one day and faced with the realization that a quick energy boost was needed, suddenly, an idea was born.

Two years later, the Clif bar was born. How cool is that?!
