In the summertime, there’s nothing quite like enjoying a refreshing Strawberry Daiquiri on a hot day. This cocktail is perfect for sipping outdoors on a patio or by the pool. While store-bought mixes make it easy to whip up this drink in minutes, it’s also simple to make them from scratch. Here’s how to make your own Strawberry Daiquiris at home this summer!

I always have an ample supply for those who come from faraway lands to enjoy them. In July, when strawberries are at their peak – here in Northern Alberta- it’s time for me to make these delectable drinks!
I get so excited because this means that soon all sorts of yummy desserts will be paired with fresh-picked fruit: pies; cake slices…even ice cream flavours might change depending upon what fruits we can find locally during such lovely weather temperatures (it has been pretty warm lately).

Strawberries Can Improve Your Bone Health

One cup of strawberries contains calcium. Calcium is an essential mineral for bone health. It helps to keep bones strong and prevents conditions like osteoporosis. In addition to calcium, strawberries also contain other minerals like magnesium and phosphorus, which contribute to strong bones. Furthermore, strawberries are a good source of vitamin K, which is necessary for bone growth and bone mineralization.

Strawberries May Boost Your Immunity

Vitamin C is an essential nutrient for immunity. It helps to protect cells from damage, and it aids in the production of white blood cells, which are responsible for fighting infection.

Strawberries Can Help Lower Your Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is a risk factor for heart disease, stroke, and other chronic conditions. Fortunately, there are lifestyle changes you can make to lower your blood pressure, including eating foods that are rich in potassium. Strawberries are a good source of potassium; one cup provides about 5% of the RDI. Potassium helps to relax blood vessels and lowers blood pressure by counteracting the effects of sodium in the body.
