About Sunlight

It was the world’s first packaged, branded laundry soap back in the late 1800.

Johnson Diversey now uses the Sunlight brand in Canada

Sunlight Brand has been around a long time: and they have two product lines

1. Laundry products that now include Pacs similar to Tide Pods and Arm & Hammer competition.

2. Dishwashing, including Liquid Dish Soap and Dishwasher Pacs.

They have been known for their Lemon Scent for all these years.

Sunlight is the branded laundry soap initially. In 1884 a new process was used by William Hough Watson to create soap. He replaced animal fats with vegetable oil and glycerin.

Eventually, brothers, William and James Lever invested in the product and sold it as the first wrapped and branded soap. The product made the lives of housewives all over much more comfortable than it was before then.

Sunlight Canada is still a leading brand for laundry soap, but they offer much more than just laundry detergent today.

Today you can find dish soap, laundry soap, and even dishwasher “pacs” that carry the Sunlight name.

Advances in technology and chemistry mean that the soap has changed slightly as far as the mixture itself, but it’s still a high-quality cleaning agent that homemakers can rely on. When you want your home and clothing to smell and feel fresh and clean, turn to Sunlight Canada for a source you can rely on.
