Facts about 7-Eleven Stores.
Did you know?
Show off your Slurpee-drinking skills! Winnipeg, Manitoba is the “Slurpee Capital Of The World,” and they’ve sold an impressive 1.5 million since the first 7-Eleven store opened in Calgary back on June 29, 1969 — that’s 48k stores around the world now, with 476 in Canada alone.
Tote’m Stores was their original name; you’d tote out what you bought – some even had Alaskan Totem Poles as decoration at their doors!
Conveniently, however, many options today offer Esso Petro Canada or Shell gas stations, too – now we can get everything done under one roof! But with those Big Gulp drinks, who could forget about all-time classic slurpee fountain beverages available where super-sized servings are always just around the corner
