    L’Oreal was started in 1909 by a man named Eugène Schueller, a chemist from France. He began by inventing commercial hair dye and selling it to hair salons across Paris.

    In 1919 Mr. Schiller registered his product and the name L’Oreal.

    By 1950 he had over 100 chemists working for him, and by 1984 there were 1,000. Today L’Oreal has over 2,000 chemists working for them!
