This is one of our new favorite camping recipes. We all have kids – heck even adults alike that love to roast a few marshmallows on an open campfire. This is a very simple recipe. Not exactly frugal, but this recipe has lots of variables to make this more economical.
What we do is we set up to paper plates, One for the sauce, and one for the coconut.
We simply put out a little bit of each onto each plate.
Roast your marshmallow till golden brown.
Grab the ends of the marshmallow, and roll in the caramel sauce, then immediately roll the marshmallow in the coconut.
Variations could be made: Use chocolate sauce for caramel, even chocolate milk sauce would work. Pancake syrup could even be used. So there are lots of variables you could play around with for this camping season.
